One of the reasons I love practising Biomagnetism is that it encourages me to look beyond the obvious.
Many people come to me because they have a symptom they’d like to get rid of—a painful shoulder, digestive issues, fatigue, skin problems or recurring infections. But rather than asking only, “How do we stop this symptom?” I ask a different question:
“Why might this keep happening?”
This is exactly what happened with a recent young client.
A teenage boy came to see me because he had been struggling with recurrent cold sores for several years. They would appear, disappear and then come back again, becoming an ongoing frustration.
As with every client, I wasn’t only interested in the cold sore itself but also what was happening in his whole body. During his first Biomagnetism session, I carried out a full assessment using gentle muscle testing to look for areas of imbalance throughout his body.
Biomagnetism is a gentle, non-invasive complementary therapy that uses pairs of medical-grade magnets on specific points of the body. The aim is to support the body’s natural balance and create an environment where it can function at its best.
At his first session, his body showed several areas of imbalance, which we addressed during the treatment.
When he returned a couple of weeks later after the second session, the cold sore had completely disappeared.
That was encouraging, but I always remind clients that healing isn’t always a straight line. Sometimes the body reveals the next layer once the first imbalance has been addressed.
A few weeks later, he came back because he had developed blisters across both hands.
Although this might seem surprising, I occasionally see this happen as the body continues to respond. Rather than viewing it as an isolated symptom, I treated it as another piece of information in the overall picture.
During this session, I again found areas of imbalance that we worked to support.
Over the following ten days, the blisters settled and healed incredibly well. Since then, there has been no recurrence of either the blisters or the cold sores. We will do a few more maintenance sessions over the next few months to be on the safe side.

I don’t know how many sessions this young man will ultimately need. When someone has experienced recurring symptoms for years, the body sometimes needs time to rebalance.
What I do know is that every session gives me more information. It’s a bit like detective work. Rather than chasing individual symptoms, I’m looking for patterns and supporting the body as a whole.
That’s one of the reasons I love Biomagnetism so much. Every client is different, every session teaches me something new, and the body often has an incredible capacity to restore balance when given the right support.
If you—or your child—experience symptoms that seem to return again and again, whether that’s cold sores, recurring infections, skin conditions or something else, it may be worth exploring a different approach.
